Magicmad a Name like the music magical and mad!

Mad if you lock up yourself for one year at the studio to record am album alone and play all instruments by yourself and on top being your own audioengineer. Magical the result of this. An album with influences from different decades of the rockmusic occasionally dark but not dismal. Even then as singer and songwriter of the band Kummerfield he was compared with rocksingers who have this mystical deepness in the voice like Jim Morrison(The Doors), Andrew Eldritch(Sisters of Mercy), Peter Steele(Type O Negative) or Ian Astbury(The Cult).

But if you tried to mention the variety of influences that resonates in his music you would find here an endless list started from early Blues to todays Goth-Rock. Magicmad himself designates it as Fantasy Rock, a music where it is allowed to mix different styles without borders for the Fantasy. Obiviously when you look at the picture it is a rock act but thats all.Thats all?! No! What makes the difference is that he comes along with a professionally trained manyfold voice that you rarely find these days where often outfit and image plays a more important role. You may like it or not but it is far away from mediorcrity.

So it is not very surprising that many music fans from all different age groupes became aware of this music after the presentation of a few songs in the internet 2007 and now look forward excitedly to the release of the album Visions in Decmeber 2008 on i-tunes. The name Magicmad is to be an expression for some kind of emotional state. Everybody can feel magic mad. But the rock singer was not aware of that Goethe used this in his Faust already as a poetic describtion for a certain state of the nature when he choosed his pseudonym...great minds thinking the same...thats MAGICMAD
